They say that when faced with a seemingly insurmountable task, begin. And so my journey to build an F1 Rocket began on 05 MAY 2020. What a year it has been so far. COVID-19 has the world on lockdown and here I sit in my garage, turned airplane factory wondering what have I done!
Quarantine beard helps with placing the first Cleko 
Taking the recommendations of many builders, I Cleko’d the rear spar onto my sacrificial MDF workbench top. Look closely and you can see a piece of thread going through the brackets that will eventually hold the hinge points for the elevators (powdered coated gray). This is to ensure the brackets are lined up and will not bind when the control surfaces are moved.
